An elegant Swiss 18K gold, diamond and enamel hunting cased enamel pocket watch with unique escapement, circa 1880. The front cover with blue enamel around a spiral diamond set design, the back cover with blue enamel surrounded by a large diamond set design, and both sides with intricate front and back covers opened by dual button mechanisms. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel Breguet hands. Frosted gilt movement, unique clover compensation lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Case signed Patek Philippe and Shreve, Boston, case stamped.
