A fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set scarab form pendant watch with a concealed dial, circa 1890. A round bridge movement with cylinder escapement and three arm brass ring balance. Small white enamel dial with blue Arabic hour numerals, a red 12 and spade hands. The case is made in the shape of a scarab with translucent red enamelled guilloché wings set with old cut diamonds, the head and hinged belly are realistically punched and engraved, two large diamonds for the eyes, the wings can be opened by a pusher. Case numbered.
