Exquisite splendour Swiss hunting cased pocket watch with minute repeater, circa 1890. This watch is made of 18K gold and features an engine-turned, chased, and engraved case with floral tendrils and vase decoration on both lids. The dial is silvered and has floral engravings and Roman radial hours with a subsidiary dial for the seconds. It also has blued spade hands and a gilded floral decoration in the centre with a gilded tendril decoration on the edge. The watch has a nickel-finished lever bridge movement with two hammers/two gongs, a lever escapement, screw compensation balance, and minute repeating on two gongs activated through a slide in the band. The watch comes with its original mahogany case, which has stunning mother-of-pearl inlay.
