An exceptionally heavy Swiss 18-carat gold hunting-cased ankerchronometer pocket watch with calendar, circa 1870. The timepiece features an Ankerchronometer movement, a sizable gold screwed chronometer balance, and a palladium hairspring with a special lever. On the front, there is a white enamel dial with Roman hour markers and outer minute divisions. It also includes subsidiary seconds and rose golden hands, although the second hand is absent. The watch boasts a unique calendar with a white enamel chapter ring that displays the date and weekdays on the back. Encased in an engine-turned case, it is also numbered for identification.
