A very fine and rare, unusual French 18K gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1930. Single-button chronograph and progressive minute and hour register, second-time zone dial. Case, polished, chronograph and hand setting buttons in the band. Dedicated hinged gold cuvette. Frosted gilt dial, eccentric meantime dial with radial Roman numerals and outer minute track, independently adjustable second-time zone, minute and hour recording dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, outer chronograph track with fifths of a second division, Arabic five-second numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands, frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, 15 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, extra wheel and bridge to drive the additional dial, straight-line lever escapement, uncut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed, case numbered.

To be sold without reserve This watch has an independently adjustable second dial which can be used either as a progressive minute and hour register for the chronograph or indeed as a secondary time zone dial provided that the chronograph is left in operation. The single chronograph button activates the start/stop and returns to zero of the centre hand and both hands of the register dial.
