Golay Fils & Stahl, successors to Golay-Leresche, that was founded in 1837. The Golay-Leresche company won a Silver Medal at the 1878 Paris Universal Exhibition. In 1857, the firm was run by the founder’s son. In the early 20th century, the company was sold to Stahl, hence the name Golay Fils & Stahl. The firm had a worldwide clientele, including the King of Romania and the Maharajah of Barodah. In 1962, Jacques Wolfgang, father of current owner Jesse Wolfgang, bought the company. As a jeweller, he brought a new style to the house’s creations.
