A fine and very rare Swiss 18K yellow gold dress watch with a long 18K gold chain and clip signed Mellerio, circa 1918. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Lozenge shaped with inclined sides sprung and hinged cover with concealed hinge, release button at the end, corner suspension loop.

Brushed silver dial with an applied yellow gold dot, bâton and Roman numerals, outer minute track. Yellow gold feuille hands. Frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed.
