Gold keyless lever pocket watch

A very fine Swiss 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1890. Retailed by A.H. Rodanet, Paris. The back with engraved with a foliate monogram, a co-axial button in the crown for start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette engraved “Montre de Patek Philippe & Co., Geneve, 8949”. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second division with five-second Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and gold spade hands. A matte gilt movement, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, and visible chronograph work. Dial signed Patek Philippe & Cie and A.H. Rodanet, cuvette similarly signed.
