Gold hunter cased lever pocket watch

A fine and rare Swiss, hunter cased, key-wound, 18K yellow gold pocket chronometer, circa 1870. Accompanied by a fitted box and two keys. A solid, polished case, hinged covers, front and back engine-turned, hinged gold cuvette with a central crest. Guilloche off-white dial with painted radial Roman numerals, centre and outer gold leaves decoration, outer dot minute ring, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 15 jewels, chronometer with spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, gold train wheels, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed.
