A fine Swiss, 18K yellow gold, hunting cased keyless watch, circa 1870. Made for the Spanish market. Accompanied by a Patek Philippe box. An entirely engraved case with geometric patterns. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, wolf’s tooth winding, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Case signed, cuvette inscribed M. de Arregui, Madrid.
