A gentleman’s very fine, extremely rare, skeletonized minute repeating pocket watch with pin wheel escapement, circa 1815.
18k rose gold case, engine turned, reeded band, case maker’s punch mark “CHL”, pusher for repetition via pendant, glazed movement.
Enamel dial chapter ring with Arabic numerals, double serpent gold hands. Skeletonized full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, florally engraved, 2 hammers, 2 two coloured gongs in the shape of a snake, applied rack strike with mirror polished steel levers, pin wheel escapement, three arm ring balance.
