A very fine French, thin 18K gold and enamel watch, made for the Turkish market, circa 1850. The case has a decorated edge, the back cover with enamel flowers, leaves and Turkish designs, a hinged cuvette, bow decorated en suite. White enamel dial with flower design at the hands, gold and green Turkish numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold and stone Breguet hands. A gilt brass movement, six jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the cuvette.
