An extremely rare French, 18 carat gold twenty Dollar coin, fitted with a concealed watch, circa 1945. US Twenty Dollar coin, Liberty on one side, the blanc reverse engraved: REIMS MAY 7, 1945 .0241 (E.T.Q), hinged cover with catch on edge engraved inside LOUIS from BEDELL, inner case with and movement secured with four screws on an engine turned outer ring. Matte silver dial with radial black Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed Cartier.
