A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold keyless pocket watch with split seconds chronograph and regulator dial, circa 1880. Retailed by Tiffany & Co in New York, U.S.A. Engine turned case with a reeded band and hinged gold cuvette. White enamel face, eccentric hour and minute dial at 3 o’clock with radial Roman hour numerals and an outer minute track, outermost minute and fifth of a second track with outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 9 and blued steel hands.

Nickel ½ plate Patek Philippe movement with Geneva striping decoration, 26 jewels, a counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and an index regulator, the chronograph activated by a button in the crown, the split seconds by a button in the band. Dial, case, and movement signed.
