An ornamental half hunting cased Swiss lady’s pocket watch with quarter repeater, circa 1880.
18-Carat gold case, all-over decorated with floral engravings, the front lid with an applied chapter ring of translucent rose-coloured enamel over an engine-turned ground with pink-coloured Roman numerals, florally engraved pendant, gold dome, and case maker’s punch mark MF (Meylan Frères). Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and blued double spade hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, two hammers / two gongs, wolf-teeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance.
