A fine, Swiss hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph – for the American market with watch chain and original box, circa 1890.
Engine-turned 18-carat gold case with glazed movement. White enamel dial with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial for the seconds, outer minute track and concentric fifth of a second track with Arabic 25 second numerals up to 300, centre chronograph hand, and blued steel Breguet hands. Bridge movement, rhodium-plated, wolf teeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance. Case, cuvette, dial, and movement signed.
