Gold minute repeating full hunter by Patek Philippe

A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1903. This watch features a damascened movement with a lever escapement and a bimetallic compensation balance. It is signed and numbered by Patek Philippe & Cie, no. 124700. The dial is crafted from white enamel with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds, complemented by blued steel hands, and signed Patek Philippe & Cie. The case is made of 18 carat gold, with the front engraved with the initials GL for Baron Georges Landau. The gold cuvette is also signed and numbered Patek Philippe & Cie, no. 124700. Included is a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, confirming the date of sale as May 5, 1909.

The movement is functioning properly and consistently. The dial is in good condition. The case has light scratches throughout, a small dent on the cover, and engraved initials GL.

Baron Georges Landau, born in the mid-1880s to a Russian mother and a Polish father, left St. Petersburg in 1905, settling in the South of France. He later married an Italian woman and resided near Florence. He passed away in the early 1970s. The watch has been passed down to the current owner through inheritance.
