A large Swiss competition observatory Ankerchronometer in a wooden block observatory case, circa 1911. Polished chromium-plated case. The enamel dial has radial Arabic numerals, an outer minutes track, a subsidiary dial for the seconds, and spade hands. Signed bridge movement, eight adj, chronometer screw compensation balance. This calibre is highly accurate and one of the movements regularly presented by Omega for observatory tests. It is also one of the most beautiful movements ever created in Switzerland.
