An extremely fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced doctor’s watch with stoppable jumping center seconds, circa 1890. Glazed bridge movement, a tandem winding mechanism with matt clicks on top, piston tooth lever escapement, rose gold gear train, screwed red gold chatons and a gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial, Roman hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, Louis XIV hands and a very fine, decorative hand for the center seconds. The plain case with a monogram on the back. Case numbered.
