Brass open-faced marine chronometer by Breguet et fils

A rare Swiss marine chronometer, circa 1828, with documentation from the years 1890-94 and 1970.
Mahogany case with brass inlay, a numbered mother of pearl shield, case key, oval-shaped gimbals and applied handles with lid and slide. Silvered, signed and numbered dial with radial Roman hours and minutes at “12”, large auxiliary seconds and spade gold hands. Brass movement, gilt and polished, with spring detent escapement on an applied platform, No. 113, blued screws, bimetallic chronometer balance with two screws and two movable trapezoid weights, helical hairspring and a diamond endstone on balance.
