Mermod Frères Swiss makers of watches and musical boxes. The company was founded in 1816 by Louis Mermod and had workshops in Ste. Croix. The watches were sold in Geneva.

No official partnership ever existed between Mermod Frères and LeCoultre & Co. The watch presented here was not a co production in the sense of a joint commercial venture or a shared brand collaboration.
It is an authentic, solo branded piece of Mermod Frères history. It acts as a perfect example of standard 1880’s Swiss horology: built using an ultra premium movement blank expertly crafted by raw suppliers like LeCoultre, which was then hand finished, timed, cased and beautifully hand engraved under the Mermod Frères house label.
