A fine, Swiss heavy minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1890. The watch showcases an 18-carat polished gold case with an engraved and enamelled monogram, a gold dome, a pusher for the chronograph at 12, and a slide for the repeating mechanism. Its enamel dial features radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, a centre chronograph hand, and Louis XV hands. The watch is equipped with a bridge movement that is frosted and gilt and has very finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts. It also has a ratchet wheel, two hammers, two gongs, and a screw compensation balance.
