A fine Swiss minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1890.
Engine turned 18 carat gold  à goutte case with gold dome, slide for repeating mechanism and glazed movement. Signed enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes/seconds, sunk subsidiary dial for the constant seconds, centre chronograph hand and blued spade hands. 1/2 plate movement, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, punched family crest and motto: “Sine Dolo” (Without Pain”), gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, index spring fine adjusting device, counterpoised lever.
