A rare Swiss, nickel-cased, keyless pocket watch with a black military dial, circa 1940. The dial with British Ministry of Defense issue number A.12924. Made for military use.
A polished case, screwed-down back. Black enamel dial, gilt-outlined luminous Arabic numerals, outer gilt minute track, subsidiary seconds, the military issue number
A. 12924 painted gold below the signature. Spade’s hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
