A fine Swiss, keyless nickel watch with the Belgian coat of arms given as shooting award, circa 1910. A solid nickel watch, hinged nickel engraved cuvette signed “Concourse 1910 Prix de Tir du gouvernement remporte par M. Barbier”. Cast case with Belgian coat of arms to the back and signed Prix de Tir du gouvernement (Government shooting award), engine-turned band.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals, outer Arabic red five-minute divisions, subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock, blued steel Breguet hands. A gilt movement, lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance with screws, blued balance spring, index regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed.
