Graduate’s pocket watch of the watchmaker school Le Locle

A rare Swiss graduate’s piece of the watchmaker school Le Locle with minute repeater and chronograph in a Niello silver case, circa 1930.
The case is made of Niello silver and has Art Nouveau Lilly decor, a case maker’s punch mark Niel HF (Huguenin Freres / Huguenin Freres & Co. / Fabrique Niel), a chronograph pusher via the crown, and a slide for repeating mechanism. The enamel dial has Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, 30 min. counter, centre chronograph hand, and blued Breguet hands. And the rhodium-plated bridge movement has Geneva Stripes decoration, finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, two hammers / two gongs, “Patent Swiss 7833”, governor for repetition, and gold screw compensation balance.
