A French 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch made by A. Chaillet in France, circa 1890. Minute repeater with a perpetual calendar and moon phases. Minute repeater on two steel gongs, activated by the slide on the case band at 6 o’clock. Cover and case back guilloché engine turned with a monogram on the case cover. A white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with red five minute numerals and gold hands. Straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. The case and movement are signed.
