A Swiss quarter repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1890.
14 carat rose gold, polished case with engraved and numbered gold dome, pusher for chronograph at “12”, slide for repeating mechanism and glazed movement. White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, centre chronograph hand, outer chronograph scale 0-300 and blued spade hands. 1/2 plate movement, frosted, gilt and finely ground, with bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, screwed chatons and screw compensation balance.
