A very fine and rare Swiss 18 Carat gold, enamel, diamond and pearl-set crucifix form pendant watch, circa 1875. On the front black champlevé enamel outlining set with pearls, an oval sprung hinged cover over the dial set with a painted enamel portrait of a female Saint surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, release catch at the base of the upper crucifix, the back hinged with a bright cut border, fixed ring suspension loop with movable tapered loop.

White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel hands. A frosted gilt movement, linear wheel train with cross shaped wheel plate, linear wheel train, two crowns, one for the winding and one for the handset, cylinder escapement, brass three-arm balance, blued steel flat spiral balance spring.
