A rare, heavy, Geneva minute repeating, hunting cased pocket watch with Patek Philippe extract from the archives, circa 1875.
18 carat rose gold case, monogrammed on both sides, reeded, gold dome with dedication engraving : “Starr & Marcus, New York”; inner lid with presentation engraving and lateral slide for repeating mechanism. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, with 2 hammers, 2 gongs, wolfteeth winding wheels, lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
