A remarkable Swiss hunting cased pocket watch with eight days movement, circa 1855. The watch features an 18 carat gold engine-turned and monogrammed case with a signed and engine-turned gold dome. Its enamel dial showcases radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and blued Fleur de Lys hands. The watch has a bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, and signed, and has two going barrels with click works. It also has a lateral lever escapement, screw chronometer balance, and a fine florally engraved balance cock.
