A fine Swiss, large, heavy, keyless, 18K yellow gold chronometer pocket watch, circa 1890. Chronometer, detent escapement with Chain and fusee by A. Huguenin & Sons, Le Locle, Suisse. Made for the South American market. A solid case, heavily engraved covers with floral ornamentation, front centred with blank cartouche, engine-turned band, hinged cuvette.

Silvered dial with painted radial Roman numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds dial, applied central and peripheral gold floral decoration. Blued steel Louis XV hands. A nickel movement, three-quarter plate, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, chain and fuse, spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with screws, blued steel flat balance spring, gold screwed chatons. Case, dial and movement signed.
