An especially heavy, extremely fine Swiss hunting-cased pocket chronometer repeater with concealed erotic automaton in finest enamel design, The Bible Lesson, circa 1890.
18K gold à-goutte hunting case, punched with a Fleur-de-Lys and serial number 2431. Dome marked Chronometre Genève – Premiere Qualite, under the dome, is a completely enamelled erotic figure automaton, an extremely fine quality enamel painting, a rare scene. Louis XV-style enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and Fleur-de-Lys steel hands. Very fine Swiss lever movement in chronometer quality, repeating the hours and quarters, and figure automaton.
