Gold trip Grande Sonnerie quarter repeater by R. Lannier

A very large and heavy, two train, trip quarter-repeating, Grande Sonnerie clock watch, hunting-cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1880.
Polished 18-carat yellow gold case with a glazed aperture for movement and polished gold cuvette. Slides for strike/silent and quarters/hours selection on the rim. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and spade hands. A bridge movement with screwed chatons, compensation balance with gold screws, two barrels are wound through a racking bar for the minute repeater, and two hammers strike on two different gongs. Dial signed and movement numbered.
