Silver open faced lever digital watch

A fine Swiss, silver keyless jump-hours and minutes digital pocket watch, circa 1890. Made for the German market. Using the A. Kaiser system, patented on 24 February 1885. An engine-turned back with a vacant cartouche. Hinged silver cuvette. Matte silver dial with applied gold flowers, apertures for the hours and minutes, subsidiary dial for the seconds, with the inscription: Arbitrage. A gilt brass movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, notched bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial inscribed “Arbitrage”, the case with German import mark.
