Silver hunting cased keyless lever watch

A fine Swiss silver full hunter pocket watch made by Tissot for the Russian market, circa 1905. It features mechanical crown winding, gold plated bar construction, a lever movement with a compensation balance wheel and flat hairspring, and is signed Tissot. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and steel spade hands.

The timepiece is housed in a silver full hunter case with engine turned decoration and black enamel finishes on both sides. The spring hinged front cover shows an intricately detailed Russian double headed imperial eagle with crossed cannons and Cyrillic script reading For outstanding armoury 1905. The reverse back cover is decorated with a polished monogram. The inner protective cuvette displays a fine Cyrillic engraving reading L. M. Lilpop Supplier to His Majesty’s Court, alongside a suspension bow and a fluted winding crown.
