Silver open faced watch with centre seconds by Leo Juvet
–
A fine Swiss silver centre seconds pocket watch with centre seconds, made for the Chinese market, circa 1880. This timepiece is housed in a silver case with a spring lid positioned at the back. The movement is glazed and proudly displays the signature of Leo Juvet, a reputable Chinese manufacturer. The watch showcases a Fleurier splendour movement with a lever escapement and a charming mock pendulum. The ivory-coloured enamel dial is adorned with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic 15-second numerals, elegant Fleur-de-Lys steel hands, and a prominent centre seconds hand.
