An extremely rare Swiss gentleman’s pocket watch with regulator dial, date, and a variant of the special form Debaufre escapement, circa 1820.
Silver, engine-turned case with case maker’s punch mark DC. Signed, regulator, enamel dial with Arabic numerals on an eccentric hour chapter ring, eccentric chapter ring for auxiliary seconds, eccentric chapter ring for the date, and blued hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, standing barrel, and three-arm ring balance.
