A fine Swiss, quarter repeating, silver pocket watch with striking automaton Jaquemarts, circa 1820.
Gilt full plate pierced and engraved balance bridge, 3-arm balance, silver regulation. An engine-turned case, round, reeded band, push repeat via the stem. Small central white dial, black Arabic numerals, black minute markers, set within outer blue enamel surround with engraved automaton Jacquemart figures striking on two bells, blued steel Breguet style hands fitted with animated varicoloured gold Jacks in Roman costume appearing to strike the hours and quarters.
