Rare early alarm watch in solid silver case

A rare early alarm watch, the so called The Cricket Alarm Watch, made in Switzerland, circa 1890. The very old open faced, pierced and numbered case is crafted from solid silver and has a relief back showing a cricket. The original white enamel dial with alarm time setting by turning the bezel, has a steel pointer, the alarm tone in the manner of a chirping cricket and black hands. The movement has a patented lever escapement with tandem winding.
