US NAVY military deck watch chronometer

A military chronometer deck watch, made for the US NAVY by Longines Watch Company in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, circa 1915. The numbered open faced case of this wacht was crafted from silver and has military markers on the back lid. The original silvered dial has a power reserve indicator, Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The numbered movement has an anker chronometer escapement, 17 jewels, five adjustments and a chronometer balance.
Dial, case and movement are signed.
