A skeletonized Swiss graduate’s work with minute repeater and chronograph, circa 1898. Accompanied by a pink gold watch chain (49 g).
An 18-carat pink gold, tiered, polished case with a gold dome, case maker’s punch mark JFE, slide for repeating mechanism, pusher for chronograph via the crown, and glazed movement; a dial of glass with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and gold Louis XV hands; and a rhodium-plated bridge movement with Geneva Stripes decoration, finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, two hammers / two gongs, monogram “A.IR” placed under one hammer, wolf teeth winding wheels, screw compensation balance, and counterpoised lever.
