A Swiss fine, small 18K gold and enamel open faced Geneva lever pendant watch, circa 1892. Rhodium-plated bridge movement, Geneva striping decoration, wolf’s teeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
Translucent dark red enamelled case, an en grisaille painting of the Greek sea goddess Thalassa riding on the back of a whale in the company of a nymph and a putto on the back. Gold signed and numbered cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic hours, outer minute track and Louis XV hands.
