Hunting cased pocket watch by Patek Philippe & Cie.
–
A thin Geneva hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1918. Sold by W. Robbe jeweller, Magdeburg. A marvellously preserved watch where the minute numerals as well as those of the small seconds are red, the bridge movement has wolf-teeth wheels a counterpoised lever and a gold screw compensation balance. The timepiece belonged to W. Robbe, who was treasurer of the watchmaker’s guild in the district of Magdeburg in 1904.
The plain case is 14 carat gold. It has a white enamel dial with a sunk subsidiary dial for constant seconds and blued steel hands. The dial and movement are signed.
