A fine a rare gold hunting cased double-dialled watch with triple calendar and phases of the moon for the South american market, circa 1890. Keyless nickel-plated jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, decoratively engraved silvered front dial, Roman numerals, outer minute ring within applied gold foliate surround, recessed engine-turned subsidiary seconds at 6, central recess with applied gold foliate decoration, blued steel tulip hands, rear decoratively engraved and gilded silvered dial with outer Arabic date ring, aperture at 12 for phases of the moon, subsidiary dials and 3 and 9 for day and month in Spanish, blued steel hands, 18k yellow gold case decoratively engraved and chased throughout with foliate and scroll motifs, the front cover with a central blank cartouche, front and rear covers operated individually through the crown dependent on the location of the loop, dials, case and movement signed.
