A very fine, heavy Swiss hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1875.
18 carat pink gold polished “à goutte” case with monogram”TSR”, glazed movement and inner lid with presentation engraving: “Presented to Thomas S. Robinson by the Downer & Bemis Brewing Co.,Chicago, November 6, 1879”. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued Breguet hands. Signed, gilt and decorated 3/4 plate movement with Wilmot’s patent, screwed chatons, gold screw compensation balance, cam type fine adjusting device and counterpoised lever.
