Jean Louis Liodet, Swiss watchmaker and manufacturer
Jean Louis Liodet was born in May 1802 to Jean Louis Liodet (1782-1828) and Isabelle Renaubert (1782-1828). Father Jean Louis was the head of the nursing staff at the Geneva Hospital. Jean Louis married Françoise Guy (1808-?) On September 23, 1828, in Geneva. No children from this marriage are listed. Liodet was based at 162 rue du Rhône. (show this place). There are still many jewellers and watch stores on this street such as Patek Philippe, Bucherer, Omega, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Breguet and Piaget, but many old houses have been replaced by new, modern buildings. On February 7, 1844, he was named a member of the supervisory committee of gold and silver works.
