Johann Rehle was born in 1684 and died in 1726. He was a renowned clockmaker in Friedberg. Unfortunately, only a few of his clocks have survived. In 1714 Rehle married Maria Anna Westnerin and the couple had nine children. All of Rehle’s clocks are of supreme quality, one of them is illustrated on page 82 of Lukas Stolberg’s “Die Kutschenuhr”.
