A large Austrian 18 carat gold open faced early centre seconds verge pocket watch with calendar, circa 1810. Ultra-thin full plate movement, chain and fusee, three-arm brass balance. White enamel regulator dial, the days of the week are displayed in French in a radial indication at 3 o’clock, the Arabic hours and minutes are shown in a blue chapter ring at 6, the date is displayed at 9 and the moon age at 12 o’clock, the months are listed, also in French, around the edge in the upper half of the dial. Plain case. Case numbered, movement signed.
