A Swiss/American 18 carat gold open faced five minute repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1889. Retailed by Tiffany & Co in New York, U.S.A. Keyless lever movement. A polished cuvette inscribed Charles E. Stevens from his father Christmas 1889. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, outer minute divisions, outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued spade hands. The plain case with a monogram on the back. Dial and movement signed by the retailer, movement numbered. Comes with an Extract from the Archives confirming the year of manufacture and the date of sale date September 18, 1889.
